Advertisement Ideas: Planting Seeds Of Success!!!

As 2014 begins to get into full swing on January 6, 2014 ask yourself what seeds am I planting to insure for a successful year? It is also important to ask yourself and I coming from a position of lack or a position of abundance?  In business one of the most important seeds you can plant are advertising seeds.  You have many choices when it comes to advertising however being knowledgeable and proactive will be the key to planting seeds that grow and thus increases revenue and creates brand recognition that allows for monetary success.  As you plant the seeds of success ask will this create buzz about the business giving strength in brand awareness and brand recognition. Will the seeds you are planting create customer loyalty? Now is the time to plant the seeds of success.

Advertisement Ideas: Ways To Plant The Seeds Of Success!!!

One way to plant the seeds of success is to find high-profile events like the NCAA FOOTBALL National Championship Game and running advertisements that are synergistic with your company and the game. For example you can run a contest where customers choose their team and if the their team wins they get a discount on their next purchase. Leading up to the game you can do special promotions that relate to the game to create interest in your products or services. I am using the game as a fundraiser for The American Cancer Society as I have developed POINTS FOR THE CURE, where people choose their team and at the end of the game they visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg1 and donate $.25 per point their team scores.  This concept was also featured in The Sun-Sentinel.

The Super Bowl is being played on 2/2/2014 you can plan special promotions that relate to the game and include these promotions in all your marketing plans. For example you are a life coach and you advertise a session based on the total points scored in the game and advertise that for the week following The Super Bowl your 30 minute session will be the total number of points scored by both teams in the Super Bowl. So if 49 points are scored you charge $49 for the 1/2 hour session. If you advertise and promote this properly you will have a high retention rate as well as an increase in new clients. There are many ways to capitalize on The Super Bowl. Every type of business can come up with an idea that ties into the hype surrounded by The Super Bowl. The key is to be proactive and creative. Advertisement Ideas: How Memorable Is Your Promotion?

Advertisement Ideas: How Memorable Is Your Promotion?

As I was watching The NFL Game on Monday with my dad a commercial came on and before the brand appeared he said The Coors Light commercials are getting to be ridiculous. I said Dad they did their job as you remembered the commercial. It is with this in mind that I ask you How Memorable Is Your Promotion? If people are not remembering your brand you are missing out on being on the top of the mind of the consumer. The key is to have a campaign that is memorable so when someone seeks your products and services they think of you before they think of your competitor.

What do these two logos have in common? They are recognizable and if you as 100 people in The United States to identify the companies I would say 90 would be able to identify them. This leads to the question, How recognizable and memorable is your logo? Continue reading Advertisement Ideas: How Memorable Is Your Promotion?

Advertisement Ideas: Invest In Many Ventures!!!!

Advertisement Ideas: Invest In Many Ventures!!!

In Ecclesiastes 11 we are reminded to invest in many ventures.  It states:

Ship your grain across the sea;     after many days you may receive a return. 2 Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight;     you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

3 If clouds are full of water,     they pour rain on the earth. Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north,     in the place where it falls, there it will lie. 4 Whoever watches the wind will not plant;     whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

5 As you do not know the path of the wind,     or how the body is formed[a] in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God,     the Maker of all things.

6 Sow your seed in the morning,     and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed,     whether this or that,     or whether both will do equally well.

In thinking and reflecting upon this verse I thought of how many business people have turned down opportunities and made excuses only to see their business fold.  There is an old adage that it takes money to make money and this is true especially when it comes to marketing your business properly.  The key is to create a customer/client funnel for your business that continues to grow your brand and build your revenue. In business today it is important to have a few products and services to offer the consumer/client  that are synergistic with what you do. For example you are a health and wellness coach and you have a chance to bring on new products through www.rejuveneticsglobal.com but you make excuses as to why not to offer these to your clients/customers and they find out about tem elsewhere and decide to go with another coach. In investing in many ventures that are synergistic to what you do you you open up more revenue streams so that when one aspect of your business is slow the other aspects will pick up the slack. The one thing you must do is market yourself and create a brand that people know, like, and trust.  In building awareness you will need to hit on all aspects of marketing and advertising so as to be seen where your customers/clients are. Advertisement Ideas: KMART Teaches Great Lesson In Branding!!!!

Kmart, is an American chain of discount stores headquartered in the United States. The chain purchased Sears in 2005, forming a new corporation under the name Sears Holdings Corporation. The company was founded in 1962 and is the third largest discount store chain in the world, behind Walmart and Target, with stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. As of February 2, 2013, Kmart operated a total of 1,221 Kmart stores in 49 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This store count included 1,196 discount stores, averaging 94,000 sq ft, and 25 Super Centers, averaging 168,000 sq ft.

Kmart did not get here by accident they have continued to market very proactively in the markets that they serve. This year their Christmas advertisement created quite the buzz, which should be the goal of every  campaign. if your campaign does not create a buzz about your business you are missing a major component in your strategic marketing.

This video has been viewed 311,346 times. Now think of this how if 1%  of those who viewed the video went to KMART and of that 1%  5% purchased JOE Boxer Items then this campaign was a success. What are you doing in your business to create an interest in your products and services.  When you plan your marketing strategy it is important to know what your goal of the campaign is, how you are going to reach your target audience, and what you are seeking to accomplish. In today’s market place where competition is fierce for the consumer dollar it is important to have a recognizable brand that instills confidence in the consumer.

Once you create  buzz like KMART you must then create a plan that instills customer loyalty. It is imperative that you exude a message if service and value in all of your advertising. Every time a customer does business with you the interaction must be one that builds the relationship so each time they seek your product or service they come to you before they go to someone else. Advertisement Ideas: How To Maximize Your Message!!!!

Advertisement Ideas: How To Maximize Your Message!!!

In order to maximize your message you must be committed to putting in a maximum effort in your marketing, media relations, and public relations. To get the process started ask yourself what is your message? Then ask yourself who do you want to hear your message? Then ask yourself how can I truly maximize my message and reach the audience that will purchase my products or services? One key idea to remember is that facts tell but stories sell. How and where are you telling your story.

Advertisement Ideas: How To Maximize Your Message: A Case Study!!!

For those that have followed  this blog over time you know that I am very involved in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. I have a web page at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg1 where people can make donations. My message is that I am honoring my mother, Judith Miller’s, memory as she was called home to GOD on July 5, 2012. I am doing this to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.  I am using this as a case study as I have raised over $15,000 in the 10 years that I have been a participant. I also have a unique advantage over everyone else in the fact that I am the emcee for the event, which provides me with a great platform to promote myself and secure paying gigs. As of this writing I have raised $898 so far for The 2014 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton.  The model that I am using to maximize my message is proving to be highly effective.

In all my interactions in obtaining monetary and in-kind donations I have incorporated the idea of celebrating, remembering, and fighting back while creating a world with less cancer. By being consistent with the message I have been able to obtain donations and also share the work that The American Cancer Society does. I have been able to create a buzz and create brand awareness and recognition by sending media releases out on a consistent basis. As a Result on 11/10/2013 The Sun-Sentinel ran an article about  The POINTS FOR THE CURE FUNDRAISER for Relay For Life. The program is simple you choose your favorite NCAA Football Team or NFL TEAM and after their game you visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg1 and donate $.25 per point they scored. Advertisement Ideas: Don’t Get Tricked Up With Your Marketing!!!

Advertisement Ideas: Don’t Get Tricked Up With Your Marketing!!!!!

Today’s entry was inspired by the fact that it is Halloween where many will be trick or treating. Just like those trick or treating who hope to secure many great treats and very few tricks your marketing campaign should garner more buyers than browsers. I am always surprised by the amount of business owners or marketing executives that are getting tricked up by their lack of marketing savvy. The latest example of someone getting tricked up by their lack of marketing was The Area Director of  a South Florida Arby’s as I had called him on several occasions and emailed him to talk to him about helping a Pop Warner Football Team that I am the public address announcer for. My thought was that Arby’s has a store within 3 miles from where the team plays and with me announcing 5 games on a Saturday and each game being attended by about 100 people each it would be a great place for Arby’s to promote and create traffic to their location. Think about the brand recognition and the increased revenue they could have had not only on a Saturday but also during the week as the parents and the kids would now know that there is an Arby’s in the community. Think of the possibilities that Arby’s could have had. The reason the man was tricked up by his lack of marketing is he never returned calls or emails. This really intrigued me as I have found that many people do not return phone calls and emails  and as a result are getting tricked up by their lack of marketing. As a result of being tricked up they are missing out on a chance to interact with someone who could be of great service and value to them. In today’s marketing place one raving fan can help to increase your brand and increase your revenue. Creating raving fans begins with personal interaction and then can be harnessed with social media interaction.  By not engaging your audience or potential audience you are getting tricked up by your marketing.

Tools To Avoid Getting Tricked Up By Your Marketing!!!!!!

As mentioned the best tool is the phone as returning phone calls can lead to a relationship that can benefit your business. I use me as an example as I have many platforms to help advocate for a business such as my Internet TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Wednesday at 8:00 PM EST, an Internet Radio Show, Get Motivated With Jonathan JDOGG Lederman, which airs at www.blogtalkradio.com/hrafnstongradio at 7:00 PM EST on Monday, another blog at www.the-spiritualawakening.com, and many social media accounts with many followers. You couple this with all the teams and special events that I am the announcer for and it makes sense to connect with me to help create a buzz about your products and services. Advertisement Ideas: How To Get Noticed!!!!

Everyday n business I am asked JDOGG how can I standout? My answer is always find ways to be proactive and creative. I ask what are you do differently that no one else is doing? Ask yourself what pain are you taking away, what problem are you solving? Think about what will get you noticed.

I was on spring break in California many years ago and I noticed on my walk back from Knott’s Berry Farms a dinner type restaurant with roller skating waitresses. I understand that these were very popular in the 1950’s and that the restaurant from Happy Days, Arnold’s was modeled after them. As I wasn’t driving I went in and sat down and placed my order and inside the waitresses were all on roller skates. I thought wow what a novel idea. I then noticed all of the newspaper clippings about the restaurant and thought what a great way to leverage your press coverage and build credibility.  I was asked by my waitress if I liked roller skating and I said yes she said great are you here alone. I said yes and she handed me a free pass to the local roller rink. I went skating after my meal and upon arrival I was given a coupon for the restaurant. My marketing mind went into complete exhilaration as I had just experienced a great example of cross promotion and businesses standing apart from other businesses. Advertisement Ideas: How To Build A Strong Brand!!!!

Advertisement Ideas: How To Build A Strong Brand!!!

You will notice most of these brands and think but I don’t have their budget. It is time you change that to I have enough money set aside to build a strong brand and become a leader in my industry. If you look at the history  of these companies and how they built a recognizable brand you will notice a few things they all share. What they share is necessary in building your brand:

1: They had a plan of action and followed that plan tweaking it along the way.

2: They created a culture that related &  resonated to their desired target audience.

3: They understood that not everyone was going to use their products or services so they went after the niche that they wanted through effective research and marketing.

4: They created tag lines that were easy to remember and illustrated who they were and what they did.

5: Over time they changed campaigns but maintained their message.

6: They were consistent with the use of their logos.

7: They allocated money and personnel to promote their brand message.

8: They aligned themselves with causes that were synergistic to their brand message.

9: They continually put themselves in front of their desired target audience.

10: They became top of the mind in their industry.

We all recognize these brands and we can tell you what they all produce. They did not become strong recognizable brands over night. They all researched what their brand message was going to be, what they would stand for, and how they would project that to those seeking their products and services.  They created an advertising campaign and make positive advertising choices that used a variety of tracking methods to measure the effectiveness. They created a buzz and when one buzz wore off they worked at creating another buzz. I know what you are thinking, JDOGG but they are all large corporations, I am a small business with limited resources. HELLO, TIME TO CHANGE YOUR THINKING!!!!! You are as large as you choose to be.  You may not have the large marketing staff, however  you have ideas to implement that can help build a strong brand. You have many resources that are available to you that you may not have thought of like The Small Business Administration, others in your industry, or SCORE.  I suggest you look at the case studies of what these companies did and see how you can gleam and implement this information. In many cases it is not a matter of money it is a matter of innovation and implementation. Continue reading Advertisement Ideas: How To Build A Strong Brand!!!!

Advertisement Ideas: Using Words Effectively!!!

Advertisement Ideas: Using Words Effectively!!!

In advertising it is important to think of how words can affect your business and the relationships with your current clients/customers and potential clients/ customers.  Words when used effectively can drive business and increase your brand awareness and also escalate your sales. People are more apt to respond to a print ad, radio ad, TV ad, or social media ad if the words resonate with them. Ask yourself how effective are the words I am using in my advertisement? Recently a travel agency used a slogan GET AWAY after their name and the campaign was very successful as they put in small print to which was followed by different destinations and prices.  When I look at major corporations such as the following I immediately recall their tagline. How are you getting people to recall your tag line? If you do not have a tag line you should really develop one and brand it in all your marketing materials.

 I’m Loving It!!!!

It’s All Good In The Neighborhood!!!

 You’re In Good Hands!!!!

 We Try Harder!!!!

What words are being associated with your business. A good tag line can help to create a buzz and build a positive image while also increasing your revenue. Continue reading Advertisement Ideas: Using Words Effectively!!!

Advertisement Ideas: Twerk This!!!!!!

Advertisement Ideas: Twerk This!!!!

Like it or not Miley Cyrus twerking at The MTV Video Music Award created quite the buzz across social media with everyone seemingly having an opinion on her actions.  Now imagine as a business owner or marketing executive what you would have to do to create this type of hype.  Would you be willing to implement a philosophy of Twerk this and go over the top so you are on the top of the mind of the consumer who will seek your products or services.  The key to marketing and promotion is to be remembered and stand out from others in your industry. Ask yourself what am I doing daily to create advertising and promotions that attract people to seek my products and services? Ask what new innovative advertising ideas am I implementing to be on the top of the mind of the consumer so they think of you first? Ask where am I advertising, how am I advertising, what is my core message?

Advertisement Ideas: How To Use The Twerk This Philosophy!!!

The Twerk This philosophy is to do what you feel is right and not to care what people think as some will, some won’t, so what, some waiting, next is the way to start. The way to use The Twerk This philosophy is to throw caution to the wind. In many of my consultations with clients I will tell them it doesn’t matter what a few people will say it is important to resonate with your target audience.  In many cases going over the top is a great way to draw attention to your self and be remembered.
